Teen Dating Violence and Digital Breakups
An abusive relationship can be especially dangerous when a survivor decides they are ready to leave. There is often pressure from peers and social media for teen survivors to remain in relationships even if they are abusive. Without the proper tools or guidance, it may be difficult for teen survivors to seek help, and create a plan for breaking up in online space. This Tech Talk conversation will focus on the difficulties of breaking up online, as well as tips advocates can use to support young people they are working with.
